Keely’s puppies are 3 weeks old
May 8th, 2010Keely’s puppies have their eyes open and are getting cuter by the day:)
They are an amazingly content little bunch.
Keely continues to be attentive and stops whatever she is doing at the slightest sound. They are very quiet when I take photos and are showing early signs of being great little family members.

April 30th, 2010
The puppies are getting bigger by the day. I am waiting for Keely’s babies to open their eyes.
Avalon’s puppies are growing and their pigment is starting to come in on their noses. We are seeing two that are showing signs of being abit curly.Avalon has to be very flexible in order to nurse her big litter:)
I will post individual photos this weekend when Darren has time to help me.
Avalon’s grand finale!!
April 24th, 2010Today we were blessed with 8 beautiful babies – five boys and 3 girls.
We were up all night and Avalon started to birth the puppies this morning. To be honest I dozed off for a few minutes and darren came and found Avalon cuddled up beside me while she nursed a parti boy who was still tied to the umbilical cord!
Christa – my right hand gal was there after the first delivery and help with all the rest of the deliveries while I got to sit back and enjoy Avalon’s last litter.
Avalon has earned her retirement as she has been a devoted and hard working mom of three previous litters and I think she has made awesome contributions to the labradoodle community and will continue to share her legacy through her offspring who are retained as breeders.
In the midst of all the activity Maddie has gone into heat for the first time and we will anticipate her first babies to be born in early winter 2010. Avalon will get to enjoy watching her grand babies grow and no doubt helping Maddie out when she can:)
Enjoy the photos and updates as you will see the pigments darken especially the parti boys(last 2 photos) who both have lovely markings in shades of caramel.

Keely and puppies
April 21st, 2010Keely and her 4 boys are doing great. She is very loving and attentive and rarely leaves their side. She has not been able to enjoy our beautiful summer weather as she just wants to get back in and make sure they are OK:)
The babies are gaining weight and sleeping well so all signs of content babies.
Keely’s puppies have arrived!!
April 19th, 2010We are excited to announce that Keely gave birth to 4 healthy puppies. We were very surprised to see a litter of 4 black boys. We had expected a litter of reds and blacks and a girl or two. It can be hard to align our plans with the ones that nature has:)
The boys are healthy and doing great and Keely is going to manage these four boys very well.
Now we will wait for Avalon’s litter to be born next weekend!
