We have our loveable Cabri for one more week and then he is off with his family to Fernie. He and Maddie have had a wonderful time together and we will miss him. He lives to play and loves the outdoors!

We are pleased to report that Keely will be leaving for her date with Gambler next Friday. We appreciate all the patience that the families on our wait list have shown. We are expecting great things from this litter!

Waiting for the Mr Right
I just wanted to add another upcoming litter from our very own Zion of Puppy Love Labradoodles. He has mated with Praire Doodle’s Maya who is a sister of our very own Keely. They will have a stunning medium litter.
Now we can only hope that Keely cycles soon as well!!
Although our dogs aren’t rescue dogs we support canine rescue and donate proceeds from each litter to canine rescue.
I think all of us who are adored by our pets can relate to feeling rescued by them. I know for myself our dogs have all strengthened my patience, expanded my ability to love and given my life a greater purpose. I really enjoyed this article so thought you might too…
I RESCUED A HUMAN TODAY
by Janine Allen
Her eyes met mine as she walked down the corridor peering apprehensively into the kennels. I felt her need instantly and knew I had to help her.
I wagged my tail, not too exuberantly, so she wouldn’t be afraid. As she stopped at my kennel I blocked her view from a little accident I had in the back of my cage. I didn’t want her to know that I hadn’t been walked today. Sometimes the overworked shelter keepers get too busy and I didn’t want her to think poorly of them.
As she read my kennel card I hoped that she wouldn’t feel sad about my past. I only have the future to look forward to and want to make a difference in someone’s life.
She got down on her knees and made little kissy sounds at me. I shoved my shoulder and side of my head up against the bars to comfort her. Gentle fingertips caressed my neck; she was desperate for companionship. A tear fell down her cheek and I raised my paw to assure her that all would be well.
Soon my kennel door opened and her smile was so bright that I instantly jumped into her arms.
I would promise to keep her safe.
I would promise to always be by her side.
I would promise to do everything I could to see that radiant smile and sparkle in her eyes.
I was so fortunate that she came down my corridor. So many more are out there who haven’t walked the corridors. So many more to be saved. At least I could save one.
I rescued a human today.
Here is a great recipe I found in Dogs in Canada.
Blueberry Maple Pupsicles
2 cups plain yogurt
1 cup fresh or frozen blueberries, raspberries, strawberries or chopped stone fruit such as peaches or plums
2Tbsp maple syrup
Stir together yogurt, berries and syrup and freeze in containers appropriate for the size of your dog. Fill them not quite full as the mixture will swell when it freezes.
Dip in the warm water to help remove them from the pan.

Cabri
Well now that the other five are gone we are busy chasing our last two little puppies. Their naps are shorter and they desire to be outside is more intense but they are wonderful company for each other. Darren tried to call me today while golfing and when he couldn’t reach me his friends joked that I must have tripped on a dog and can’t get up – very funny!! In fact while the puppies napped I did too. I took a few photos while we were out today. The color is not as bright as the sky was abit overcast today.

Naomi, Brent and Chili
Well we watched out Chili leave with her new family yesterday. It was another bittersweet moment in our life as labradoodle breeders.Brent and Naomi become what my friend Christa calls us-DIPPIES – Double Income Pampered Pets. Christa is reading One Nation Under Dog and is keen for me to read it. Apparently it depicts how dogs are driving the North American economy and I am definitely interested in knowing more about that! One of our past customers has started a wonderful online business called Off Leash which sells eco friendly pet products which have been tested out by her beloved doodle Stella. I admit that I have made my first of what is sure to be more order from her wonderful company!
I just wanted to say that we are also very excited about upcoming litters at puppy Love labradoodles and Parti Time Labradoodles as both will be expecting babies from our very own Zion and Eden who were exceptional puppies from Avalon and Xston’s first litter. It makes us very proud to anticipate Avalon’s grand babies!

Zion and Eden of Puppy Loves Labradoodles
Well the puppies started to leave yesterday. It is always a hard time for us but we always feel blessed to find such exceptional families for our puppies. We have heard that the puppies are adjusting but all have a new home and routine to adjust to. We still have Cabri and Chili to play with Maddie whom we have retain to test fror breeding so they are all still enjoying each other.
